It was shortly before midnight on chilly evening, and swirls of mist concealed parts from the narrow line road to the dark forest. On the eve of Cinderella’s death that fell to her demise, that gruesome night at the Royal Ball.

Prince Charming stunned by the sight of his beloved wife, body lying on the marble floor. Her dress was drenched in a pool of crimson blood, as it seeped.

Thanks to King whom requested one of the many finest detectives in Fairyland. On finding the person who killed his daughter-in-law, Cinderella. He asked for a Chalice, from all the detectives to bring him. Questioning each suspects one by one.  First, was Snow White a “close friend” to Cinderella she’d helped her with the ball. Had many affairs with Prince Charming behind her back, however, often wondered if she knows his other affairs with many beautiful maidens before her?

A true friend indeed---wanted to cause a bit of trouble for the poor girl from one of the seven dwarfs. Grumpy would gladly do anything for Snow White.

Talked to the Ghastly Grackle. That bird’s annoying squawking gave me headache, but managed to get answers. Which, that murderer got away on a horseback, and two a murder weapon was left behind----it was a knife!  That gash through her neck, it was found on the balcony of stairs where she stood.

Next, was the Beast, wasn’t in any mood of helping much. After countless pleads with him, only answered I got was heavy head dresser thrown directly at me, and him roaring to end it by a slammed door.

Then I came to Belle in the garden, since she knew about politics of what goes on in the castle.  Her riddle had rattled me at first.

Headed over to the ugly the sister. She told me her side of the story. One thing to know about vanity and greed that it will kill you in your sleep---so to speak. I said to her, “You know, Flora, Green really isn’t your color,” that moment she hissed at me, and then slammed the door at my face.

While on the way to the castle, caught sight of Aurora in search for a fairy. She sat on bench made of stone. Her alibi wasn’t strong, but after chitchat with one of the royal guards.

And went to the Troll witch to get answers, shortly, after I came from Red riding hood to her alibi. Upon my arrival the door was open. Took a peek inside “hello?” A snarling sound came through the witch’s chambers. Raised my hand to cover mouth and nose, the hideous smell kept me gagging. Sicken as I watched the witch was guzzling down, god knows what! She gave me names of other suspects. I quickly high tailed it out of there.

Afterwards on my way, a crinkling sound of a wrapper and then a crunch, like, someone biting into a hard candy.  In this mist was thick in the forest. Walked in closer, it was Hansel and Gretel sitting on the wall. Though children of the night were creepy enough.

It wasn’t till later, stumbled across a manic laugh in the dark forest---was Alice.  It was weird as it looks, she was mad as hatter. I gradually stepped back, and then I saw her clutches tightly to her chest, gently stroking the glass slipper.

Wandered aimlessly in the dark forest. Full moon bloomed, so, beautifully at night. Howls of the wind blew in the cool autumn breeze. It came in strong taking the hat clean off, chased after it deeper through the forest.

Tripped over a tree branch, landed face first in a pile of colorful leaves.  I glance the fedora hat couple inch in front of me.

Suddenly a heavy weapon flew passed. Chomp!  I gazed above at the tree. My eyes widen astounded, ‘A battle axe!’ I thought to myself.  It just missed my head by a thread. I heard footsteps growing closer, as the sound of leaves crunch coming from the background.  Slowly turned my eyes, for the first time, frozen as I gawking at the man. It made chills ran down my spine.

    “You---you are---,”

“Yes. It is I, the Headless horseman,” he interrupted, before the detective could toot her lips together. “I’d guessed you came to asked some questions, about happen earlier this evening. Those certain thing don’t matters to me, anyways.”

I muster the courage and spoke, “Do you know who the murderer is? A few people suspects told me that the murderer ran off on horse. You simply must know who it is?”

Horseman narrowed eyes, as they glimmered in the shadowy night. Reached hand pulled the axe out of the tree.  He smiled sly, graceful touched my face “Ah---yes I did, lend someone my horse. On this grim night, the queen requested, Prince Charming’s head,” on the other hand, considering that axe, like, had a itching to use that.

Scared out of mind, made a deal headless horse. Return with prize in hand and gave it to him. Then scampered off before he changed his mind. I like my head where’s it at---on my shoulders.

This case grew more intriguing by the second.  Followed the pathway, in the dark forest. I finally came across the Queen of Hearts. I introduce myself. She sat pouring tea in her teacup, look like a tea party, which Alice had earlier.

To her unlike in dismay, after I asked about the argument between her and Prince Charming. A mist of envy in her eyes pierce through me, like, knives.  She told me about their little quarrel, considering he’s a complete playboy.

“Let me read your future,” She brought out the Tarot cards, and then pull three card from the deck. She smiled then said, “Silly rabbit—“

“Tricks are for kids.” I interjected, turned facing her. Stared down at the cards on the table.

    The plot began to thicken.
